Barr. Ogholaja, who is the Legal Adviser of Management Committee of Obotie Community in Warri Federal Constituency, stated that the new policy focus of the NPA as it affects Warri Port, would revamp the economy of Nigeria, reduce insecurity in the Warri area as well as lead to an exponential decrease of unemployment, crime and Youth idleness.

The counsel, in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Thursday December 4, asserted: “The decision of the Management of NPA is also a poignant testament that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal Government is a pragmatic Champion of the sacred principle of federal character that is enshrined in Section 14(3) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.”

The statement, added: “It has become necessary to appeal to his Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to beam his gracious light to the abandoned Koko- Ogheye- Epe- Lagos Costal Road. The Koko- Ogheye- Epe- Lagos Costal Highway dates back to 1955 and was inspired by one of Nigeria’s Giant of Democracy named Festus Okotie- Eboh, who was the first Nigerian finance Minister and Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria.

“It is lucid that the Koko- Ogheye- Epe- Lagos Highway if completed, will transform both the economic, tourism, cultural and security outlook of Nigeria as the its completion will connect efficiently connect the South South and South West Regions of Nigeria which will boast trade, tourism and peace.

“The completion of the Koko- Ogheye- Lagos Highway will serve as good way to immortalize the Festus Okotie-Eboh for his unquantifiable and dedicated services to Nigeria.

“It is also with unfathomable joy that We also join the opulent People of Warri Kingdom to appreciate Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the hardworking Governor of Delta State on the completion of the 20.95 km Trans- Warri- Ode- Itsekiri Road that feature 15 bridges of various span.

“Over the years, Governor Sheriff have shown that he is cosmopolitanly attired and elegant fashioned. His Excellency has shown stentorian capacity and a voracious appetite to serve the good people of Delta State.

“Within a short time, the capacity Governor of Delta State has shown that he is a Governor of all Deltans as we can categorically say that Governor Sheriff have transformed Delta state into a state of El dorado.

“We congratulate our quintessential Royal Father, His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwase the 111 CFR whose reign have ushered in development, growth and progress in Warri Kingdom.

Like Oliver Twist, we ask for more projects from his Excellency the Governor of Delta State particularly the construction of a Road in Obotie Community in Warri South Local Government of Delta State.

“Despite the fact that Obotie Community is rich in Natural and human endowment, Obotie Community is faced with the challenges of insecurity, lack of development, lack of medical supplies like vaccines, lack of educational facilities and other basic Amenities.

“The troubling  state of Obotie is chiefly attributed to the lack of motorable Road in Obotie Community hence security personnel, medical and investors are discouraged to come to Obotie Community hence Kidnapping, pipeline and facilities vandalism and other nefarious vices are having a free day in Obotie Community.

“The lack of Road in Obotie Community is now a great danger to the people that lives in Obotie and the entire Country as infant mortality and avoidable cases of deaths are scourging deeply into the existential fabric of Obotie Community.

“The construction of a Road in Obotie will drastically reduce insecurity, unemployment, infant mortality, poverty and illiteracy in hence we are passionately imploring Governor Sheriff to swiftly intervene by approving the construction of a Road in Obotie Community.

“As Crusaders of your Excellency’s ‘more Agenda’ we are confident in your Excellency compassion hence we known that your Excellency will answer our clarion call for the construction of a Road in Obotie Community.”
