HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL

It is the policy of GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA LIMITED to provide relevant and high quality personal protective Equipment: coverall, safety- shoes or rain boots, hard-hats, hand cloves etc, for all persons engaged in operations.

Continually, the management shall enforce the effective use and maintenance of available personal protective equipment, which entails regular condition audits and replacements of defective ones.

Sites safety officers and supervisors shall continue to monitor compliance with this policy.

WASTE DISPOSAL

Waste constitute environmental nuisance if not properly collected, handled and disposed. GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA LIMITED shall make sure that wastes are collected handled and disposed of in an environmentally safe manner as not to cause injury or damage to plants, animals and environment (soils, water and air) Pigging waste and all other associated waste shall be collected, categorized and weighed on site.

Then they’re store in water tight, sealable containers and transported to a designed clients dumpsite for disposal.

GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA LIMITED personnel shall make sure that proper precautions are taken to avoid discharge of pollutant in the air and water.


Dumping of waste into creeks, DELTA and other waterways is strictly prohibited.

DRIVING

GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA LIMITED, we recognise the fact that safety belt enhances the chance of survival and reduces the risk of injuries in vehicle accidents.

As such it is mandatory as a matter of policy for every worker, to always fasten his/her seat belt.

All light and heavy-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, forklift etc, must have seat belts fitted in them and must be worn by DELTA, mates and operators always.

Security personnel shall enforce the “NO SEAT BELT, NO ENTRY or EXIT”  rule at points of entry in company premises or facilities.

All line management personnel are to ensure compliance with this policy.

Serious penalty awaits defaulters of this policy.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH POLICY

All staff of GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA LIMITED shall be medically fit and shall remain so, during their employment.
We hall maintain an insurance against any liability that may result in case of any personnel suffering occupational disease or any impairment to health resulting from our operation. The company’s retained clinic shall all routine medical and medical emergencies.
Only certified and competent First-Aider and nurse can man the first aid box and administer first aid in any operational areas. Records of medication compliance with this policy is mandatory. BE HEALTY, BE FIT AND STAY ALIVE!!!

DRUG & ALCOHOL ABUSE

GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA LIMITED has adopted a policy absolutely prohibiting the use, possession or sale of illegal drugs, intoxicating beverages and / or controlled substances or firearms on any Company premises. Controlled substances are any illegal drugs or prescription drugs not obtained by a valid prescription. The drugs will not be allowed anywhere on site or in land, building, structures, installations, vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft owned, leased or used by the company or any offshore installation.

The term GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA

LIMITED as used, in its broadcast sense and covers all U MORGAS INTERNATIONAL COMPANY NIGERIAL LIMITED owned, lease or initialized equipment and property and any customer’s facilities.

To enforce this policy, GIBSON MORGAN NIGERIA LIMITED has reserved the right to inspect any person; place or thing on company premises and intends to exercise that right without prior announcement other than this letter. Searches on company facilities, including locked desks provided to you, may be conducted at any time with or without your permission. Reasonable searches of individual, vehicles, and personal effects will be limited to searches with your permission. However, if permission is denied, the items, vehicles, and/ or individuals will be denied entry to the promises.

His policy has been adopted and will be enforced in the interest of providing each employee a healthy and safe place in which to work. Your understanding and co-operation during inspections will be greatly appreciated and should help minimize the inconvenience these inspections may cause.

Individuals found in violation of this policy are subject to discharge. Immediate removal from company premises and if warranted, reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
